Why do Celebrities Love Rebounding so much?

Nadia & Dr Sara Rebounding

Celebs across the globe have been Rebounding for years. Some of Rebounding’s biggest fans include Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tony Robbins, Goldie Hawn, Miranda Kerr, Ronald Reagan, Nadia Sawalha & Dr Sara Kayat to name a few.

Actress Goldie Hawn also launched onto the Instagram scene showing her love for Rebounding with a video of her rebounding on a bungee sprung Rebounder (see our Fit Bounce Pro model).

So what makes Rebounding the fitness regime that celebrities just don’t want to give up? And what could Rebounding regularly do for you?

1. It’s an Incredible Fat Burn that Get’s results… FAST!

Firstly and importantly (it is a piece of fitness equipment after all!), Rebounding helps you achieve great results and fast! It’s an incredible calorie burner, helping to shift fat & tone muscles in as little as 15 minutes a day. A 45 minute Rebound workout can burn upwards of 600 calories!

So how does it work? Well, the heavier you are, the more calories your body burns during exercise. Unlike trampolining where the aim is to put as much distance between your feet and the trampoline’s surface in slow jumping movements, while Rebounding the emphasis is a higher tempo movement of the lower body as well as the downward push through the balls of the feet staying close to the jumping area. Constantly working against gravity, your exercise body weight can become up to 3 times heavier than normal at the bottom of the bounce due to the increase in G-forces – sending your calorie burn through the roof!

Rebounding is just a gift from God! It’s the most incredible calorie burn. – Nadia Sawalha, Loose Women

2. It’s a Natural Detox

The Lymphatic System is a network of tubes & lymph nodes that form an important part of the immune system. It helps to rid the body of toxins, fight bacteria & other infections and kill cancer cells.

The tubes that make up the Lymphatic System branch through the body like the veins & arteries of the Circulatory System. However unlike the Circulatory System which is pumped by the heart, the lymphatic system has no circulatory pump of its own and relies on physical exercise and movement to propel lymph fluids throughout your body.

Rebounding for just 15 minutes a day stimulates the Lymphatic System unlike conventional exercise due to the G-Forces & pressure changes created while bouncing. At the top of the bounce (when you are weightless) your lymph valves open and at the bottom of the bounce (when you push in to the mat surface) your lymph valves close, creating an incredible “pump” effect which very effectively moves and recycles the lymph many times during a rebounding session. This provides a free-flowing system that drains away toxins very efficiently. #dailydeto

LIIT is the new HIIT. You’ve probably heard of HIIT (or High Intensity Interval Training) but LIIT (Low Impact Interval Training) workouts are where Rebounding comes to the fore. Rebounding allows you to workout at a very high intensity, achieve an incredible calorie burn and increase cardiovascular fitness with minimal risk of injury to the knees, hips & ankles. You can read more about the principles of LIIT training here.
