Rebound Conditioning Moves

In this conditioning section we demonstrate how some of the fundamental strength exercises such as squats and push ups can be safely taught on the pro gym rebounder. We always like to include the so called ‘big bang’ compound exercises into our rebound conditioning sections to ensure a large variety of muscle groups are worked in a single exercise.

However, these do obviously require more skill to execute with good form than other smaller single joint movement exercises so it’s essential that your coaching points are clear and precise.

Electromyography (EMG) is an electrodiagnostic medicine technique for evaluating and recording the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles. There are many studies that show that performing exercises on an unstable surface increases EMG activity in muscles.

The unstable surface of the rebounder provides an extra balance challenge whilst executing each exercise but is hugely beneficial as stabilizing muscles are required to be more active than when done on a fixed/flat surface and therefore can produce more muscle stimuli.

This is of course great for increasing stability of our joints.
