The Rebound Fitness Pro Gym rebounder, and all of our home rebounders, have been designed following several years of research to allow more downward motion (i.e., the “push”) on the deceleration action, thereby increasing the G-Force.  The Rebound Fitness rebounding programme can only be taught on equipment that is recommended and approved by Rebound Fitness.

Beware, there are many mini-trampolines on the market and most are not built to a suitable high quality specification for a group exercise workout like Rebound Fitness.  We have many examples of Instructors who have tried with cheaper equipment only to find that it breaks within 3 -6 months and their investment is wasted.  Rebound Fitness offers a 12 months warranty for the Pro Gym rebounder for commercial and home use, and we have a full spare parts service for ongoing maintenance.  There is very little maintenance needed and if you follow the instructions for storing and carrying the rebounder equipment you will get many years of service from this equipment.

The Pro rebounder will comfortably hold a 20.5 stone/130kgs /287lbs person doing our Rebound Fitness exercises.
Other cheaper mini-trampolines will often be much lighter than the Rebound Fitness equipment. These are not safe, the equipment will travel across the floor when a person is bouncing and also can tip over when people step onto the rim.  They are often only 6 inches high and have very little “give” in the mat (typically 1.5 inches) when bouncing.  The height of the Rebound Fitness Pro Rebounder has a lot more “give” in the mat when bouncing (3 inches) thereby increasing the amount of G-Force possible.
With the Rebound Fitness Pro Rebounder there are strong metal rivets inserted into the frame to attach the mat springs to the frame.  Other cheaper mini-trampoline models just connect the spring directly into the frame making them weaker structures and causing damage to the frame.

The Rebound Fitness Pro rebounder mat has been specifically designed with over 3000 stitches of high-quality non-slip material, unlike most standard rebounder mat beds that are often thinner and slippery.   The mat webbing around the outside of the mat has reinforced cross-stitching making it extremely strong and durable.

We advise that you keep the mat surface dry and clean in order to avoid breakdown of the mat surface.  Participants should be requested to wipe the mat down after each exercise routine (similar to cleaning a yoga mat).If you store your rebounders with the legs folded, please stack them carefully and ensure that the tops of the legs (where they fold and unfold) do not slide across the mat surface.  This can cause excessive wear and tear on your rebounders.

Springs To ensure a soft bounce, the large, muscle shaped springs on the Rebound Fitness Pro equipment are cylinder-like in design, with individual spring mounting pins to help prevent frame wear.  The steel springs are calibrated at the factory and have 22 coils that work to create a very resilient bounce.
The springs that attach the mat to the frame of the rebounder are extremely durable and should not fail with normal use.  Always check the springs before class to ensure that they are intact.  Never use the Pro rebounder if some of the springs are missing.
The springs can have a slight squeak when in use.  This is because there is metal-on-metal where the spring hooks to the “W” wavy clip and to the rivet.  To keep this noise to a minimum please use a little Vaseline or coconut oil and rub this into each spring where they are touching other metal (so at the wavy clip end and the rivet).  You only need a little lubrication and apply every few months or as needed.
Be careful of other cheaper rebounders where the springs look a similar “shape”.  We have spent years ensuring that the individual component parts are strong and made of the correct material – it is unfortunately relatively easy for other suppliers to use thinner springs and to the naked eye they will look the same!
Spring Cover (Skirt) The Rebound Fitness Pro rebounder protective cover (often referred to as the “skirt”) has been uniquely designed and is narrower than most rebounders, allowing more surface space on which to exercise.
The spring covers will take the most abuse during transportation and during a class. To avoid excessive wear and tear (which can be caused by anyone bouncing directly on top of the skirt), the skirt should be pulled away from the mat surface and tucked under the frame of the rebounder.  Approximately half of the springs will be showing.  Please reassure participants that this is perfectly normal and safe.  We want to provide the maximum bouncing surface.  If the skirt is too close to the mat surface this will increase the risk of participants catching their feet underneath the mat when they are bouncing, particularly for the high energy moves.
Skirts can be easily replaced however they are only required for aesthetic reasons.  It is perfectly safe to bounce on the Pro rebounder without the skirt (often referred to as “nude” ?).  Please do remember that participants are advised to always bounce wearing cross trainers or similar. 
Folding Legs The extra wide and steel chrome plated, spring-loaded legs fold flush after use for easy storage and transportation.  The legs are fixed to a stud which is triple welded onto the frame of the rebounder making the Pro rebounder the strongest of its type on the market.
Other cheaper rebounders have much thinner screw in legs that are not stable and are very time consuming to put on and off.  These are also not as durable and over time the screw threads to break.
Do not drag the rebounder across the floor as this will weaken the leg springs and welding.
Do not stand the rebounder onto its side (i.e., two of the legs).  You can often see class participants doing this and chatting to each other – without realising they are putting pressure or leaning on the rebounder and this will weaken the leg welds.
If possible, avoid excessive folding and unfolding of the legs. While this does not prove damaging in most situations, it does give the opportunity for the spring that attaches the leg to the frame to become unattached if the legs are consistently pulled too hard.  The correct way to take down a leg is as follows:·       Stand forward with the rebounder at a 90degree angle against the side of your body.  The mat should be closest to your body and the legs pointing away from your body.·       With the other hand, take hold of the leg and give a slight quarter turn as you push the leg away from your body to release it from the leg stud·       Then you can fold the leg down·       If the leg is stuck (this does happen from time to time – there are bounced on a lot!) then place the rebounder on the floor with legs towards the ceiling, remove the rubber tip, use a little wd40 and allow this to drip down to the leg stud, and this should give enough lubrication to release the leg following the above instructions.
If a leg spring does become detached then it is easy to reattach, simply remove the rubber tip from the other end of the leg, fold the spring back through the leg. It may be best to use a shoestring, or the tool provided by the manufacturer to keep hold of the spring.  Using pliers – re-secure the spring to the frame.  If the leg spring has become too stretched or broken, then we offer spare parts.
Rubber Tips Rebound Fitness Pro rebounder has rubber tips on the end of each leg to help prevent scratching on the floor and to keep the rebounder stable. The rubber tips are wide and grey in colour and are non-marking.
The exercise can be done on a wood floor, tiles or carpet.  Whilst the Pro rebounder can be used outdoors on concrete, please be aware that the rubber tips might need replacing more frequently.  We do not recommend using the Pro rebounder on grass.
Occasionally, the rubber tips may come off during transportation of the rebounders at the start and finish of class but please be advised that it is not advisable to “glue” the rubber tips on the legs. “Gluing” the rubber tips will prevent access to the leg spring.
Storing the Rebounders The Pro rebounders can be stored back-to-back like sea-shells and as per the below picture.  Please ensure that when storing this way that the legs of the rebounders are against the frame of the rebounder it is stacked on, and not on the mat springs, the mat or in “mid air”!  Participants should be encouraged to always have 2 people lifting/stacking the rebounder to ensure that they are stacked safely and so that rebounders are not weakened through inappropriate storage.Alternatively, rebounders can be flat-packed by folding the legs and storing one on top of the other in a cupboard.  Please see “Folding Legs” section for advice here.
Other Maintenance The Rebound Fitness Pro rebounders are very low maintenance however taking care as described in this section will prolong the effective use of the equipment (which should be many years).  Here is a checklist:·       Store them correctly·       Wipe down mat surface after every use·       Do not drag rebounders across the floor, or lean on the legs·       Lubricate the springs from time to time·       Check the rubber tips from time to time and replace those that are worn·       Do not bounce if there are detached leg or mat springs – replace these·       *** anything else James?
